Asha Srinivasa Acharya (Adiga)
Asha has begin her career with guru Raja Gopala Bhagavath and Poornima Bhagavath as her carnatic classical music and Barathantyam dance teacher at a very young age.


From 23 year Asha has been in music and Bharathanatyam dance field . Asha graduated and secured 3rd Rank in state level ‘Vidwath’ examination conducted by Secondary Board of Karnataka government form India.
Asha has proved her versatility by learning and performing Kuchipudi dance for some years, Yakkshagana, Kathak, Oddissi, Manipuri as Indian classical dance forms in basic level and Kamsale, Lavani, Bhangra, Dandiya, Kolatam, Suggikunitha , Kamsale as Indian folk dance forms. Also acting/drama, “Yoga” and other similar type of cultural dance events.
And learned under the tutelage of several gurus for light, folk music and dance styles.
Performances:
Asha has given dance and music performances at all over India and outside home country in places such as New York, New jersey, Washington DC, and Detroit ,Illinois, Indianapolis,Chicago in USA and also Paris in France Europe.
And Delhi, Jamshedpur, Agra, Chennai, Tirupati,Bangalore, Davangere ,shimogga , Daravada ,Belgam,Thumkur,Kotheshwara ,Udupi like many more cities on India.


Choreography:
Asha has performed,visualized and choreographed many classical dances, (Bharathanatyam, Kuchupudi) semi-classical, folk, fusion, Classical dance Bale, Dance Dramas, ,Creative fusion dances.
And also performed Caranacic classical music ,Light Music, Folk songs, Patriotic songs, Bajans and Famous songs in different India languages, Film music and Karaoke’s.


Awards:
- Received “Air India “ Rank Award “-2006
- Received “ Kala Isiri Award -2006” by “Champika Pathike”(Press)
- Felicitated by J.C club “Out standing Young person” Award.
- Received “Sharada puraskara” in “Nupura” Dance festible.
- Awarded as talented student in her college.
Some achievements include:
1. Received of first prize in Karnataka State level dance competition.
2. Felicitated by Haryana State Govt. Secretary Sri K. C. Sharma for excellent dance performance in the year 1999.
3. Received 1st prize in music and dance National level competition held at Agra, India in 1999.
4. As a National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadet participated in Republic Day parade in 2001 and got 1st prize for Karnataka under cultural competition(DANCE, SONG), which the state hadn’t received for the past 10 years then, and which was telecasted in India’s prime TV channel DD1.
5. Asha’s dance performance has been relayed in India’s premium TV channel ‘Doordarshan(DD 9)’.
6.Asha has taken part in India’s premium TV channel Udaya TV (Sun TV) Anthaykshari music show.
From past 10 years she conducted Bharathanatyam , Semi classical dance, Carnatic classical and light music classes in India, New jersey (Jersey City/Parsippany) Michigan (Detroit/Troy) and now conducting classes in Illinois(Chicago/Naperville).
